- Schedule the repair work between boat arrivals and departures in coordination with Fara, ensuring no disruption or delays to docking grain or trade vessels.
- Inspect the hull condition of all active reed boats, especially seam lashings and water-repellent coatings, to keep the entire fleet water-worthy for the busy exchange season.
Fara (Landing Keeper):
- Keep the landing clear, organized, and running smoothly. Designate distinct staging areas for outgoing basket crates and incoming grain bags to streamline loading and prevent handling bottlenecks.
- Report vessel turnaround times and any river or current anomalies upstream.

Hana (Basket Maker):
- Assemble and inspect the full quota of baskets for this month’s scheduled grain exchange. Prioritize sturdy, tight-weave upland storage and transport baskets that command the highest grain value among upland growers.
- Establish a grading system (first-grade, utility grade) so trade delegations know exact baseline equivalencies before negotiating.
Jora (Exchange Witness):
- Lead our delegation to Measure House for this month's scheduled grain-for-baskets transaction.
- Conduct the exchange strictly according to standard tallies with Oren and Sella. Verify weights openly, counter-sign duplicate tally sticks/receipts, and ensure our copy is brought safely back to Reedhaven.
- Maintain warm, professional relations with Oren, Sella, and Belen. Observe the demeanor of other clan witnesses and measure-house officials without prying or raising tensions.
- Take initial note of the procedures planned for Month 2's seal checking and receipt copying so our community is fully prepared for the annual review in Month 3.

Ivo (Provisioner):
- Supervise the unloading, inspection, and storage of incoming grain immediately upon the boats' return. Inspect grain for dampness or rot before sealing bins.
- Implement an exact inventory ledger: record current grain stocks, daily community consumption rates, and estimated days of supply remaining.
- Ration carefully to ensure spring work proceeds without missed meals while conserving a small reserve cushion against potential river or exchange delays.
- Mobilize secondary marsh foraging (spring greens, edible rush roots, seasonal fish traps, and waterfowl harvesting) to stretch grain supplies and provide nutritional variety.

Establish a systematic community ledger in the landing office. Every transaction, weight receipt, and tally notch from Measure House will be logged with dual witness marks (Ivo and Jora).
Begin gathering and cataloging all historical receipts and tallies held in Reedhaven from the past year to ensure complete, clean documentation when Month 2 audit preparations begin.

Oversee Garr's landing post repair to ensure hydraulic stability and durability.
Work with Ivo and Jora to establish standardized double-check recordkeeping for all incoming food and outgoing manufactured goods.
Speak with returning boat crews to gather general impressions of river conditions, planting progress in Barleybank and Hearthmere, and road conditions toward Stonecross.
